No — The Fort is not a 501(c)(3). Donations are simply to cover the lowest level of operating cost to keep the office space Free and available to everyone. Without generous donations, we would have to charge individual users.
These generous contributions go to The Fort’s basic operating expenses. Without the kindness of patron donations we would have to charge individual users for their use of the facility.
No — offering the space for free allows the various patrons of The Fort the flexibility and availability to keep the space focused on community. The only way to secure space by paying in advance is through events or conference room bookings.
